The TAG Team is comprised of students aged 12 - 18 who represent the schools and communities of Allegan County. Members of the Team receive a significant education about the needs of our community and the non-profits that address those needs. Team members are trained to review and recommend grants in excess of $45,000 annually.
The TAG Team also has their own scholarship that recognizes a scholar who puts forth effort with their academics while focusing on community service.
In addition, TAG Members participate in numerous community service projects throughout each year.
The TAG Team is currently seeking representatives from Martin, Otsego, Wayland, and Plainwell. Students who will be in 8th grade through 11th grade in 2017 are eligible to apply.
The type of student we are looking for is one who enjoys doing things for others, who enjoys working on a team, who is comfortable working alongside their peers, and who would like to make an impact on the youth of Allegan County.
Meetings are held twice a month, during the school day. School always comes first so you will likely miss a couple meetings a year if there is a class or test you just don't want to miss.
